Coffee Maker (in-progress)

Coffee Maker is one of my current personal game development projects that I'm doing in Unreal Engine 5. As an avid coffee connoisseur I wanted to delve into making a coffee making simulation game.

One of the first things I did for this was to plan out what kind of levels I had imagined for this game. How many stages, what kind of props, what setting was I imagining? These were the questions I was asking myself as I drafted up these initial sketches.

For this game, I wanted to challenge myself and learn another set of skills.

Prop making and 3D modelling. I've been primarily a 2D artist most of my career, but I would love to create a game with my own personal assets.

I took a chance modelled something that was remarkably "low-poly irl" for this.

My mohka pot!

This hotplate accompanies the mohka pot as a vital prop in my game. This time I learned a bit about lighting and rendering in Blender with Eeevee. I figured out a lighting setup for this quick object turnaround that I felt was pleasing to look at. It's a lot more dramatic than the Mohka pot render, but it definitely taught me a lot about Blender's render potential.
