One of my hobbies is content creation and video editing, so I wanted to combine that with my game design process.

As I improve with Unreal Engine and game development as a whole, I want to share that process with other devs. I feel like there are so many experts on youtube, but something that I personally want to see more is people sharing the growing pains of the learning process.

The "Project Revamp" series is a series of dev logs where I tackle different aspects of my project "Kitty's Little Errand" and updating them with the new skills and comfort I have.

This 2D platformer was a mixed-media project for me. Inspired by my love for traditional art, I created a whole asset set made entirely from gouache and watercolor. Each one of these assets was scanned and cut-out digitally with the use of Photoshop.

I then imported these assets into Unreal Engine 4.27 in the first iteration of this project.

Later in development I had rebuilt the project in Unreal Engine 5 which helped improve some of the performance issues I was having in 4.27.

Building a 2D platformer in Unreal Engine was an interesting experience which helped me understand Unreal's 2D workflow (Paper2D).
